Is ricefield flatsedge a weed?
Ricefield flatsedge is very invasive and harmful to the growth of agricultural crops. It spreads easily and is hard to remove, therefore it's considered a weed. It usually grows in damp areas. It's a weed mostly found in low-lying rice fields, but could also appear amongst vegetables, corns, sugarcanes, peanuts and soybeans as a weed. It reduces crop output severely once invaded into rice fields.
