How do you transplant lucky bamboo in water?
If the plant was previously growing in soil, carefully remove it from the container and gently rinse all of the growing media from the roots. Place a shallow layer of small pebbles into the new container to give the plant a base to rest upon. Set the lucky bamboo on the pebbles, fanning any established roots out slightly. Holding it upright with one hand, use the other hand to add more pebbles between the stalk(s) and the sides of the container to give it support.
