The lifespan of tufted airplant is generally around 3 to 5 years. It reaches maturity and blooms once in its lifetime, usually dying shortly after flowering. However, before it dies, tufted airplant can produce offsets, also known as 'pups,' which can be separated and grown into new plants, continuing the life cycle.
