Is the ivyleaf morning-glory poisonous?
Like many other species of morning glories, ivyleaf morning-glory's seed contains a hallucinogenic alkaloid, which causes aural and ocular distortion, hyper excitement, nausea, and fatigue. But do not worry too much as it's only mildly toxic and usually grows in the wilderness, therefore it's rarely eaten by mistake. If there are severe poisoning symptoms after ingestion in error, please see a doctor immediately.
