Understanding Propagation of Ice Plants
Propagation is another aspect that plays into the Ice Plants’ popularity among gardeners. One can propagate them through seeds, cuttings, or division, with the latter two being the most successful methods. For cuttings, a leaf or a piece of the stem is cut, left to callous for a few days, and then planted in well-drain soil. For division, the plant is simply divided at the root level and replanted. These methods, coupled with their hardiness, make Ice Plants an ideal candidate for any garden.
