The height is 10 to 30 cm. Four leaves are glossy with a ring and there are serrations on the edges. The flowering season is spring with one spike in the tip of the stem and a small brush-like white flower.

Height is 30 to 60 cm. A few spikes (often 2) are put on the end of the stem and a small white flower is attached. The flowers have no petals and no buds, and the three stamens hold a ovary.
