Bush lily is an evergreen rhizomatous perennial standing 1-2 feet (30-60 cm) tall. It composes tight clumps of strap-shaped, dark green leaves, non-glossy in appearance, with a length that may exhibit slightly serrated edges and rounded tips. The long-lasting, tubular orange flowers are arranged in an umbel, characteristically drooping. Following the flowering in spring and summer, it produces marble-sized red berries.
