How to Grow and Care for Correa pulchella

Correa pulchella is a perennial low-growing shrub reaching heights of 2 to 3 feet (60 to 90 cm) with an impressive spread of up to 5 feet (150 cm). It flaunts dense, elliptic foliage roughly 0.5 inches (1.3 cm) long, which is green on the upper surface and gray-green beneath. This species is crowned by light pink blooms that decorate it in abundance from winter through early spring, offering a prolonged display of color. Its preference for occasional watering can decrease if situated in shaded areas. Notably, correa pulchella adapts well to calcareous soils and coastal exposure, withstanding temperatures down to around 20 degrees Fahrenheit (-6.7 degrees Celsius). This hardy shrub is distinguished by its sprawling habit, its greener leaves, and its smaller, lighter pink flowers compared to its cultivar counterparts.
