Japanese hop, also known as Asian hop, Japanese beer hop, J-hops
Japanese hop (Humulopsis scandens) is an invasive vine that grows from 91 to 610 cm long. It is a native vine in China, where it is a useful herb with stem fibers that can be used to make paper. Its seed oils are sometimes used to make soap. It blooms spring through summer with male flowers that are yellowish green and female flowers that are catkin spikes. It is commonly found in wasteland areas and growing in thickets along riverbanks and streams.
