Pink trumpet vine is a robust, woody vine that tends to sprawl, using trees or fences as support to display its graceful, arching branches. Its evergreen foliage consists of glossy green, pinnate leaves with 7 to 9 pointed leaflets. Blossoming in clusters at the branches' tips from mid to late summer until the first frost, the plant features pale pink, bell-shaped flowers with maroon stripes, exuding a light fragrance. These blooms give way to long, narrow, beanlike fruit. The vine thrives in full sun and requires occasional watering, showing resilience in temperatures as low as the low 20s°F (-6 to -7°C). Pruning is advisable in late winter to early spring.
