How to Grow and Care for Ventilago

Ventilago leiocarpa grows as a climbing shrub or woody liana in sparse tropical forests and thickets, in lowlands or low on mountainsides. Its feather-shaped seed pods are designed to catch the wind, carrying it up to 12 m away from the parent plant.

Ventilago elegans is characterized by its sleek, climbing vines and small, oval leaves that flourish in sunny, well-drained habitats. Its bright red stems and delicate flowers are distinctive, adding a splash of vibrant color to the understory.
