How to Propagate Glossy abelia?
(Abelia uniflora)
Glossy abelia, also known as Schumanns abelia
Glossy abelia is most effectively propagated through the method of cutting. For optimal success, use healthy and mature stem cuttings from the current or previous year's growth. Cuttings should be approximately 4-6 inches in length, including a couple of leaf nodes. It's advisable to dip the cut end in a rooting hormone before planting in a well-draining soil mix. Maintain consistent moisture and provide indirect light to encourage root development. Once rooted, acclimatize glossy abelia gradually before final transplantation outdoors.
