How to Propagate Yant?
(Agave utahensis)
Yant, also known as Clark mountain agave, Ivory-spined agave
Yant is a distinctive succulent that produces rosettes of fleshy, spiky leaves. It can be propagated through division, where offshoots that grow from the base of the parent plant are carefully separated and replanted. The offshoots should have developed roots before removal, ensuring greater success when establishing in new soil. Once separated, the divisions need to be left to dry for a few days to form calluses over the cut surfaces, which prevents rot. The new plants should be placed in well-draining soil and watered sparingly to encourage root growth.
