From Ground: Begin by thoroughly watering the peruvian magic tree to moisten the soil which makes digging easier, and reduces trauma to the roots. Using your shovel or spade, carefully dig a wide circle around the plant, ensuring not to cut into the root ball. Gradually deepen and widen the trench, prying cautiously to avoid damaging the roots. Once the plant is loose enough, gently lift it out of the ground.
From Pot: Water the plant thoroughly. Tip the pot and gently tap its rim on a solid surface to loosen the root ball. If the plant doesn’t slip out, you can run a knife around the inside of the pot to loosen it. Remember to handle the plant by the root ball, not the stem.
From Seedling Tray: Water the seedlings and remove them from their tray by carefully pushing the base of each cell or carefully running a knife around the sides to loosen them without damaging the root ball.
