From Ground: First, water the star tickseed plant to dampen the soil. Next, dig a trench around the plant using the spade, keeping the root ball of the plant intact. Patience is key here; work slowly to ensure you do not damage the roots. Once the root ball is exposed, slide the spade under it and gently lift the star tickseed from its original location. Use the Gardening Gloves to provide additional support whilst lifting it.
From Pot: Start by watering the pot-bound star tickseed well. Then slowly turn the plant upside-down, positioning your hand so that the plant stem is between your fingers and you are holding the pot. Gently shake the pot to loosen the plant, and pull the pot off the root ball. If it is stuck, you may need to tap the rim of the pot against the edge of a table or bench. With the plant removed from pot, loosen the outer roots gently.
From Seedling tray: Firstly, the plant must be watered well. Next, using your fingers, grab the lower stem of the seedling and gently push the bottom of the cell with your other hand. This will help you to lift the star tickseed seedling out without causing any harm to its root structure.
