From Ground: Start by dampening the soil around the blue dicks with water to make digging easier. Then, use a shovel or garden spade to dig around the plant, ensuring the root ball remains intact. Gently work the spade under the root ball and lift the plant carefully out of the ground. Avoid damaging the roots in the process.
From Pot: If the blue dicks plant is potted, first water it thoroughly. Then, turn the pot upside down while gently holding onto the base of the plant. Give a gentle shake to dislodge the plant and the surrounding soil. In case it does not come out easily, run a garden knife around the inside edge of the pot but do not pull harshly on the stem.
From Seedling Tray: If the blue dicks plant is still a seedling, be extra careful not to damage tender roots. Water the tray well, then flip it over gently to remove the plant the soil should come out with the seedling.
