From Ground: Begin by digging a circle around the barbados lily bulb with a garden fork, aiming to disturb as little root as possible. Gradually work the fork underneath the bulb, lifting it gently from the ground. Rinahlse the bulb gently to remove additional soil.
From Pot: Start from the rim of the pot, moving your way towards the bulb with a trowel, keep the disturbance to the roots to a minimum while you loosen the soil. Once loosened, carefully tip the pot and slide the barbados lily plant out maintaining the root ball intact.
From Seedling Tray: If you are removing a young bulb from a seedling tray, use a spoon or similar tool to gradually scoop around the bulb. Move top-down, ensuring that even the deep roots are free before you lift it from the tray.
