From Ground: Firstly, use a watering can to dampen the soil around common motherwort. Then, use a shovel or spade to dig a wide trench around the plant, making sure that the plant's root ball remains intact. Once this is done, carefully slide the spade beneath the root ball to help lift common motherwort from its original location.
From Pot: If common motherwort is currently in a pot, it'll need to be carefully removed. Handle with care not to damage the plant or its root system. Turn the pot slightly sideways and carefully ease the plant out while supporting its base. If it's stubborn, gently pat the bottom of the container to loosen it. Remember to keep the root ball intact.
From Seedling Tray: Hold common motherwort carefully by its base stem, tug it gently to remove it from the tray. If feel resistance, wiggle it a little or use a pencil to push up the root from the drain hole under the tray.
