From Ground: If the martagon lily is already planted in the ground, begin by watering it well to ease the extraction process. Use a shovel or garden spade to dig a broad circle around the plant, keeping a safe distance from the base to avoid damaging roots. If necessary, employ a digging fork to loosen the soil around the roots. Gently lift the plant, ensuring you have a sizable root ball attached.
From Pot: In case of pot-grown martagon lily plant, ensure that the soil is moist but not excessively wet. Tip the pot sideways, press around the pot to loosen the soil and gently remove the entire plant along with the root ball. Take care not to put too much pressure on the stem or roots.
From Seedling Tray: For martagon lily seedlings, moisten the soil initially, and gently remove each seedling holding it by the leaves, not the stem. Use a narrow utensil like a dibber or a pencil to ease out the root system.
