From Ground: Begin with
watering the chinese Fan Palm plant to moisten the soil. Use a shovel or spade to dig a wide trench around the plant, making sure that the root ball stays intact. Put the spade underneath the root ball, slowly lift the plant out of its original location.
From Pot: Water the potted chinese Fan Palm until the soil is thoroughly moist. Invert the pot, and tap the rim against a hard surface to make the plant and soil slide out. Be careful to hold onto the plant at its base during this process to ensure it doesn't fall out. If necessary, cut the pot away to protect the plant.
From Seedling Tray: Water the chinese Fan Palm seedlings and gently squeeze the underside of each pot to loosen the soil. Hold the seedling at leaf level, never by the stem, and pull out with a delicate tug. If the seedling doesn’t easily slide out, coax the seedling from the bottom of the tray rather than yanking it.
