From Ground: First, use your watering can to dampen the soil around the miniature Lupine. Then, encircle the plant with your spade or shovel, dig deep enough to include the full root ball. Carefully work the spade under the root ball and lift the plant from its spot. Make sure to minimize disruption to the roots.
From Pot: Begin by watering the plant in the pot. Then, turn the pot sideways, hold the miniature Lupine close to the base and gently pull from the pot. If the plant doesn't slide out easily, tap the bottom of the pot to loosen it.
From Seedling Tray: Use your garden trowel to carefully scoop out individual miniature Lupine plants, making sure to bring up as much of the root and surrounding soil as possible.
