From Ground: Begin by watering the peppermint rock sorrel plant until the soil around it is damp, not overly wet. Use the shovel or spade to make a round cut in the soil, about 12 inches away from the base of the plant to ensure the root ball remains intact. Gradually work the spade under the root ball, gently prying it upwards until it can be safely lifted from the ground.
From Pot: Water the peppermint rock sorrel plant until the soil is moist and the plant can easily slide out of the pot. Gently tilt the pot and tap its bottom to help slide the plant out. If the plant is stuck, run a trowel or a butter knife around the inner edge of the pot to loosen it.
From Seedling Tray: Once the peppermint rock sorrel seedlings have at least two sets of true leaves, they are ready to be transplanted. Water the tray well before transplanting. With a trowel or a spoon, carefully scoop out each seedling, including its roots and surrounding soil.
