From Ground: First, thoroughly water the bebb's willow plant to soften the soil. This will make the extraction process smoother and help protect the roots. After the soil is damp, use a shovel or garden trowel to dig a wide trench around the bebb's willow, making sure not to cut through the root system. Carefully work the shovel under the rootball and lift the plant out of the ground.
From Pot: Water the bebb's willow slowly until you see water running out of the drainage holes. This will ensure that the soil is moist and the plant and root system can very easily slide out of the pot. Turn the pot sideways, gently hold your bebb's willow close to the base and slide the plant out. Avoid tugging on the stems or foliage as this could damage the plant.
From Seedling Tray: For seedlings, be very gentle to avoid damaging the tender roots. Dip the tray in water and gently hold the bebb's willow by its leaves, and not by its stem while pulling it out. If the plant is stuck, use a dibber or pencil to push it out from the bottom.
