How to identify Lilyturf (Ophiopogon jaburan)
Lilyturf, also known as Giant lilyturf, Liriope gigantea
Lilyturf is a perennial evergreen that forms dense clumps, reaching heights of 12 to 18 inches (30 to 45 cm) with dark green, flexible, and slender leaves that can grow up to 18 to 24 inches (45 to 60 cm) in length. These leaves often display an elegant arch. During spring and summer, it produces delicate white nodding flowers, each about half an inch long, on one-sided spikes that are roughly 2 feet (60 cm) tall. The blooms elegantly arch over the foliage and contrast sharply with the plant's dark green leaves, enhancing its ornamental appeal.
