Choosing Sandy or Loamy Soil
For optimal growth, Lion's tail prefers sandy or loamy soil. These soils are known for their excellent drainage and nutrient-holding capacity, which ensures that the plant gets enough nutrients while avoiding waterlogging. Sandy soil is loose and has larger particles, promoting quicker drainage. Loamy soil, a mix of sand, silt, and clay, provides a balanced medium, retaining nutrients well while still ensuring good drainage. Mixing your soil with sand or perlite can help if your garden soil is too clayey or dense.
