Is Calamansi toxic to cat?
All parts of the calamansi plant contain compounds that are mildly to moderately harmful to cats. Ingestion tends to cause mild gastrointestinal upset such as vomiting and diarrhea. The chemicals contained in the plant also cause light sensitivity, which can lead to skin irritation when exposed to sunlight. The symptoms often retreat after few hours.

All parts may be toxic, but its fruits have the highest concentrations of toxins and are also the most tempting to dogs. Symptoms of calamansi poisoning may range from mild (upset stomach, vomiting, diarrhea, increased photosensitivity, excessive drooling, lethargy) to extreme (tremors, loss of blood pressure, death), in cases where very large quantities are eaten.
