Is Bog laurel toxic to cat?
Bog laurel is moderately to severely toxic to cats if ingested, and veterinary attention is required to avoid potential fatality. If a cat eats just a small amount of any part of this plant, symptoms can include vomiting, drooling, and twitching, but if a large amount is consumed symptoms are more extreme and include loss of coordination, weakness, coma, and possibly death.
Is Bog laurel toxic to dog?
Bog laurels are highly toxic to dogs - if your dog eats any part of this plant, you should seek immediate veterinary attention. All parts of the bog laurel contain grayanotoxin, a neurotoxin that can cause nervous system damage or cardiac failure (and death) if eaten if large enough doses. Milder cases elicit only vomiting and diarrhea.
