Is Bay laurel toxic to humans?

Bay laurel is non-toxic to humans, however, it is toxic to dogs and cats.

Is Bay laurel toxic to cat?

Although a valued culinary plant for humans, bay laurel (Laurus nobilis) is toxic to cats due to its high levels of eugenol. Ingestion of flowers or leaves will result in vomiting about thirty minutes later, followed by diarrhea and perhaps an unwillingness to eat. These symptoms in turn may cause dehydration, a serious condition in its own right. Veterinarian attention should be sought if symptoms are concerning.

Is Bay laurel toxic to dog?

Bay laurel is mildly to moderately toxic if your dog ingests it. Symptoms can include diarrhea, lethargy, vomiting, and depression. It can potentially cause gastrointestinal tract blockages if your pet eats a large amount of it. A trip to the vet is advised.
