Is Crowdipper toxic to humans?

Crowdipper is a moderately toxic plant. The stem, leaves, flowers, and tubers contain calcium oxalate crystals. If the crystals are ingested, irritation in the mouth and esophagus occurs. The irritation ranges from mild to severe, depending on the amount ingested. Blisters and sores may develop, along with pain when swallowing. Symptoms can last for several days but are rarely life-threatening. Curious children should be discouraged from putting any part of this plant in their mouths.
