Is Lemonade Berry toxic to humans?
Although the lemonade Berry is not reported as poisonous, there are some sources that suggest its sap is slightly toxic. Reportedly, contact with the plant's sap can lead to low to severe allergic reactions and skin irritation (redness, itching, burning, blisters) in some people. The plant is also covered with tiny, but coarse and dense hair which may be the reason for the skin irritation upon contact. Other sources suggest that the plant is toxic when ingested, although there haven't been any reports of internal poisoning. However, as the plant is irritating to the skin, it may be harmful when ingested, as well.
