Is Venom orange toxic to humans?

Containing three different toxic compounds, you'd be clever to cut your losses with venom orange and avoid ingestion altogether. All parts of the plant contain loganin, strychnine, and brucine, but the highest concentration of these is in the bark and seeds. You only need to consume around 30 to 120mg for venom orange to cause fatality. Strychnine is possibly the most harmful component, poisonous through inhalation, ingestion or absorption! If absorption occurs through the eyes or the mouth, it can lead to convulsions and asphyxia, a lack of oxygen that can be fatal. Venom orange actually holds a higher concentration of Strychnine than any plant yet recorded.
