Acronychia is a genus of 44 species of plants, mainly shrubs, in the rue family Rutaceae. They have a broad distribution covering China, Southeast Asia, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia and the islands of the western Pacific Ocean.
Water:
Acronychia prefers conditions similar to its native habitat, with periodic dry spells. It is drought-tolerant, requiring watering every 2-3 weeks and allowing soil to dry slightly. As an outdoor plant, acronychia benefits from rainwater during its active growth season.
Propagation:
Acronychia can be propagated from seeds or cuttings. Seeds need well-draining soil, planted at double their size depth, with consistent moisture. Cuttings require a perlite-rich medium and high humidity. Factors include temperature, light, and avoiding overwatering. Dormancy may necessitate treatments like scarification.
