Anisocoma is found in the Mojave Colorado Deserts and California's Owens Valley above 610 m up to about 2134 m. It has only one known member. The plant grows a flat mat of jagged lobed leaves that lie on the ground. It sends up stalks up to 20 cm tall topped with flowers which bloom from spring to summer. The flowers spring be yellow or white with yellow centers. The frilly ray florets are rectangular with flat or slightly toothed tips.
Water:
Anisocoma thrives with consistent moisture, preferring steady watering once a week. Typically grown outdoors, it benefits from natural rainfall, enhancing its growth and flowering during peak seasons.
Propagation:
Propagation of anisocoma primarily occurs via seed sowing. Key growth factors include well-draining soil, consistent moisture, and full sun to partial shade. Stratify seeds if needed. Steps: collect seeds, stratify, sow in soil, maintain moisture, and transplant seedlings once established.
