Chinese milk-vetch
The whole is soft grass. Stem height 10 to 25 cm. It branches off at the root, and in warmer regions, it can stretch horizontally to 60 to 150 cm. The tip of the stem faces up. In some cases, a thin stem is stretched from the root. The leaves are once winged, and the leaflets are almost oval in shape, rounded at the tip or slightly recessed. With one leaf, the size of the leaflet does not change much from the base to the tip. The flower stalk emerges from the leaf bud, stands straight, and sticks out from the leaf. The flowers are gathered together in a ring shape at the tip. The flower color is reddish purple, but there are rare white (cream) stocks.

Water: Originating in moderate moisture regions, chinese milk-vetch thrives with consistent watering, ideally every week, to maintain health. As a cover crop, it aids soil improvement and nitrogen fixation, significantly influenced by soil moisture levels.
Fertilize: Fertilize chinese milk-vetch bi-weekly during its growth season using high phosphorus fertilizers, applying 15-30 grams per square meter. Adjust frequency in dormancy and avoid direct leaf contact to prevent burns. Use protective gear and monitor chinese milk-vetch's response to adjust care practices accordingly.
Pruning: Chinese milk-vetch is a leguminous plant prized for its colorful flowers and ability to fix nitrogen. Prune in early to late spring by removing dead stems and thinning branches to enhance air circulation. Clean, sharp tools are essential for effective pruning, promoting aesthetics and overall plant health.
Propagation: Chinese milk-vetch propagation involves sowing with optimal seed-to-soil contact in a well-draining medium. Maintain consistent moisture without waterlogging. Scarification can enhance germination. After sowing, provide light while avoiding direct sunlight, and thin seedlings to ensure proper root expansion.
