Condea are a genus of flowering plants. Some genus members are fragrant desert shrubs, attractive to butterflies and other pollinators. As deer- and drought-resistant shrubs, condea are frequently used as ornamental hedges and in desert gardens.
Water:
Condea prefers dry soil between waterings, requiring irrigation every 2-3 weeks. Thriving in semi-arid conditions, it requires well-draining soil and full sun exposure to enhance drought tolerance and prevent root rot. Ideal for outdoor settings in drier climates.
Propagation:
Condea can be propagated from seeds, cuttings, or division. Key factors include adequate light, warmth, and well-draining soil. For cuttings, a healthy 4-6 inch stem segment should be used, treated with rooting hormone, and maintained in humid conditions for 4-6 weeks to develop roots.
