It is a perennial plant of about 20 to 30 cm and little branching stems. The leaves are almost sitting, they lack glandular hairs although they are covered with a dense whitish tomentum. It presents a thick involucre, about 2 cm in diameter, with the ovate-lanceolate bracts, the outer ones being slightly longer than wide. Both the corolla and the achenes that develop later are yellow.

Water: Originating from mountainous regions, pyrenean hawksbeard prefers moderate hydration and consistent moisture without waterlogging. Watering weekly sustains its growth. It thrives outdoors in cooler climates where rainfall patterns meet its moderate hydration needs and exhibits some drought tolerance.
Fertilize: For optimal care of pyrenean hawksbeard, use balanced fertilizers rich in nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium monthly during growth, reducing to every six weeks in fall and winter. Water before and after to prevent root burn. Adjust doses for young and mature plants, and follow safety precautions.
Pruning: Pyrenean hawksbeard features tufted basal leaves and bright yellow flowers. Prune in early to late spring to maintain shape, enhance airflow, and boost flower production. Remove dead stems and spent flowers to control self-seeding. Regular monitoring and timely pruning ensure optimal health and growth in gardens.
Propagation: Pyrenean hawksbeard, a daisy family member, thrives in rocky, alpine areas. To propagate, sow seeds in well-draining soil, ensuring ample sunlight and consistent moisture. Once seedlings establish, thin them to avoid overcrowding, promoting healthy root development for successful growth.
