Water:
Cymbidium 'Rembrandt' requires adequate moisture but tolerates some drought. Water weekly in summer, reducing to every 10 days in fall and winter. Maintain humidity through misting and use water with a neutral pH; store tap or rainwater to neutralize it before use.
Fertilize:
Cymbidium 'Rembrandt' requires minimal fertilization. Apply a nitrogen-rich fertilizer (N-P-K = 30-10-10) every 10 days post-sprouting in spring. By summer, transition to a balanced fertilizer (N-P-K = 20-20-20), and use a phosphorus-rich fertilizer to enhance fall blooming.
Pruning:
Cymbidium 'Rembrandt' features vibrant blooms, ideal for gardens. Prune in early to late spring, removing spent flowers and damaged leaves. Trim overgrown areas for shape and air circulation. Sterilize tools to prevent disease, enhancing blooming and health for robust growth.
Propagation:
Cymbidium 'Rembrandt' can be propagated through division or cuttings. Division is best post-bloom; clean roots should be carefully separated and replanted. For cuttings, remove leaves from stems, cut into 2-node pieces, and maintain moisture. Cuttings may also root directly in substrate or be transplanted after rooting.
