Purple passion is a genus of flowering plants in the daisy family. The leaf color of different species varies from dark green to the purple leaves found on the most common member, Gynura aurantiaca, which make it a popular houseplant. The leaves of some species, such as Gynura bicolor, are popular vegetable crops, but edibility is not a genus-wide characteristic.
Water:
Purple passion thrives in humid conditions and prefers consistently moist soil, ideally watered weekly. It flourishes indoors where humidity can be controlled, and maintaining soil moisture is vital for its evergreen foliage throughout the year.
