Hydrocharis is a genus of aquatic plants in the family Hydrocharitaceae. It is widespread across much of Europe and Asia, plus a few scattered locations in Africa. It is also reportedly naturalized in parts of North America. Three species are recognised.
Water:
Hydrocharis thrives in aquatic environments and requires consistent moisture. Weekly watering mimics its natural habitat. Its growth and health significantly depend on the surrounding water quality, making it essential for its care and overall vitality.
Propagation:
Propagation of hydrocharis primarily occurs through division to preserve characteristics. It thrives in calm freshwater, requiring proper light and temperature. Carefully separate mature plants, replant in aquatic soil, and submerge. Monitor growth for successful establishment before transplanting.
