Lentils has pinnate leaves, small inconspicuous white flowers, and small flattened pods. Lentils contains four species of small, erect or climbing herbs.
Water:
Originating from temperate climates, lentils prefers consistent soil moisture without waterlogging, thriving with weekly watering. While drought-resistant to some degree, lentils benefits from increased humidity during its growing season, supporting leaf development and overall plant health.
Propagation:
Propagation of lentils occurs via seed sowing in full sun with well-draining, organic-rich soil at 68°F (20°C). Plant post-last frost, considering temperature sensitivity. Scarify seeds, sow 1-inch deep in 18-24 inch rows. Water consistently; expect sprouts in 7-10 days, with possible thinning needed.
