Leucobryum grow in dense mounds, giving the moss a pincushion-like appearance. Leucobryum are used as a ground cover for damp, shady areas and in terrariums as an ornamental moss. These plants can be found growing wild in both the northern and southern hemispheres.
Propagation:
Propagation of leucobryum occurs through division, as seeds are unreliable. Success hinges on high humidity, indirect light, and a moist, well-draining acidic substrate. Avoid high mineral water. Steps include separating clumps, placing them on substrate, frequent misting, and maintaining temperatures of 15–25°C.
