Lobularia comprise a small genus containing just a handful of flowering species in the mustard family. The plants are often compact and form dense mats. The flowers are often aromatic, and the foliage is a gorgeous gray-green. Though these species have no known practical use, they make great additions to flower beds, borders, and rock gardens.
Water:
Lobularia is native to the Mediterranean and prefers consistent, moderate moisture. Thriving in well-drained soils, it should be watered twice a week. As an evergreen, occasional misting enhances foliage and flower health, reflecting its natural coastal habitat.
Propagation:
Lobularia can be propagated by surface sowing seeds outdoors or in trays under sunny conditions and well-draining soil. Keep them consistently moist but avoid overwatering. Thin seedlings for airflow, and transplant outdoors after frost risk has passed.
