Tree Jasmine has only one species, which is a tree native to South Asia & South East Asia. The tree grows to height of between 18 m and 25 m and has a spread of 7 to 11 m. The tree is evergreen and has an elongated pyramidal stem. The leaf is imparipinnate and resembles that of the neem. The white flowers come as large panicles which emit a pleasant fragrance. The fruit is a smooth flat capsule and is partitioned into two. It contains broad-winged seeds.

Originating from a region with moderate rainfall, tree Jasmine withstands brief droughts. It prefers consistently moist soil and requires watering every 1-2 weeks. Thriving in warmer climates, tree Jasmine benefits from mulching to retain moisture during the growing season.
