Phlogacanthus is a genus of flowering plants in the family Acanthaceae and tribe Andrographideae. Its distribution includes India through to Indo-China, southern China and Sulawesi. Plants of the World currently recognises 24 species.
Water:
Phlogacanthus thrives in tropical-like conditions with high humidity and regular moisture. It prefers consistent, moist soil but is moderately drought-tolerant. Water once every 2-3 weeks, allowing slight drying in between. Periodic misting boosts humidity for optimal indoor growth.
Propagation:
Phlogacanthus can be propagated through seeds, stem cuttings, or division. Key factors include warm temperatures, high humidity, and well-draining soil. Some species need specific light for germination. Start with seeds or cuttings, maintain moisture, and wait for rooting or germination before transplanting.
