Clearweed
Growing in the wild as an epiphyte, clearweed has been collected for domestication, giving rise to many cultivars differentiated by the different leaf patterns and colors available. All have furry leaves, hence its specific epithet, pubescens, meaning "hairy" in Latin. The wild species of this plant has distinctive red stems and silvery leaves, and the domesticated has much more furry silver leaves with pinkish undersides.
