Rubus coreanus, known as bokbunja, Korean blackberry, or Korean bramble, is a species of raspberry native to Korea, Japan, and China. It produces edible berries (not true berries in the botanical sense) that are fermented into bokbunja ju, a Korean fruit wine (although the majority of fruit commercially grown for producing this drink are actually Rubus occidentalis, native to North America). The wine made of bokbunja is called bokbunjaju (Korean: 복분자주).

Water:
Korean bramble thrives in moist soil, requiring regular hydration without waterlogging. A watering schedule of twice a week helps maintain its humidity preference and drought tolerance. When cultivated outdoors, rainwater enhances irrigation practices, supporting korean bramble's growth cycles.
Fertilize:
For korean bramble, use balanced fertilizers monthly during the growing season and high nitrogen ones pre-flowering to enhance yields. Reduce fertilization in winter and avoid over-fertilizing. Mulch with compost to improve soil health, monitoring korean bramble's response for optimal nutrient uptake without contacting the stem.
Pruning:
Korean bramble is a deciduous shrub with thorny stems and vibrant berries. Prune in early spring to remove dead canes and shape the plant, enhancing airflow and sunlight. Regular pruning promotes healthy growth and increases fruit production, contributing to a robust and productive plant.
Propagation:
To propagate korean bramble, use healthy stem cuttings with sharp, clean cuts. Apply rooting hormone and plant in well-draining soil. Maintain high humidity and stable temperatures for rooting success. Regularly monitor for pests and diseases to ensure optimal growth.
