*Trifolium* *angustifolium* is an annual legume from the narrowleaf crimson clover genus. However, unlike other clovers, it has narrow, grass-like leaves and an elongated hairy flower head. Its natural range includes Central to Eastern Europe, Western Asia, and North Africa, but it has been introduced around the world as a forage plant for pasture improvement. It is considered weedy, but not aggressive, in Australia, Japan, and Chile, and can be found throughout North America.
