Water at the base in the morning to avoid damaging flowers. Neglecting watering can harm vervains 'Tapien', making recovery difficult.

Fertilize: Vervains 'Tapien' requires frequent feeding to thrive. Use an organic water-soluble fertilizer applied directly to the soil to prevent leaf burn. Feed twice monthly in spring and summer, with some opting for monthly feedings in fall and winter.

Pruning: Vervains 'Tapien' can grow 10cm-140cm tall and 2m wide. It blooms from early summer to mid-winter and requires monthly pruning in summer to maintain shape. Trim spent flowers and foliage, and avoid removing over a third of the plant to ensure future blooms.
