Water:
Veronica triloba requires watering every 3-4 days, with increased moisture during growth and flowering periods. In winter, water minimally as it goes dormant. Post-winter, prune and water thoroughly to encourage a new growth cycle.
Fertilize:
Veronica triloba thrives on minimal fertilizer. During growth, use water-soluble compound fertilizer (20-10-20). For flowering, switch to a 10-30-20 ratio 10-15 days prior. Reduce fertilizer in early fall and avoid during root recovery to prevent injury or stunted growth.
Pruning:
Remove withered flowers from veronica triloba to enhance appearance and conserve nutrients. Prune flowering branches in the morning on sunny days, cutting near the last flower. This promotes regrowth, with blooming resuming in approximately 20 days. Cut back yellowed parts after winter when temperatures exceed 0℃ (32°F).
Propagation:
Veronica triloba can propagate through division, sowing, and cuttage. Division is best done in mid-spring using 2- to 3-year-old plants. Ensure 6-8 buds remain per section. Cuttage should occur in late spring or summer, with moist soil until roots form before transplanting.
