How do you prune ice-cream-bean?
Prune ice-cream-bean during its dormant phase or at the end of the harvesting season. Remove any dead or diseased branches first. Thin the canopy by cutting back overhanging branches to enhance sunlight penetration and air circulation. Cut back branches to a healthy bud or intersecting branch. Avoid over-pruning; remove no more than one-third of the canopy at a time. Use sanitized pruning tools to prevent disease spread.
